Here's your chance! Kevin Kelly and the FSA are trying to run the cafe as a financially viable operation and we need your help to get people into the habit of using it as a great place to stop by after work to chat with a colleague. The cafe is offering a great special (drinks and cheese and crackers for two for $2) during April and May (see details in attached flyer). Please encourage your faculty, staff and students to use the cafe whether they enjoy a cup of coffee, soft drink, beer or a glass of wine. To my mind, the cafe has added a lot to the campus as a place to take colleagues after a seminar, to recruit graduate students and to promote informal faculty student interactions. The cafe will only continue to prosper if we make sure that everyone knows that it's there and makes use of it. Take your faculty for a drink after your next departmental or program meeting, take the staff out to show your appreciation for their work on admissions... Thanks for your support. Best, LM.
