Kyler Kuehn 04/24/2007 03:08 Hello, I am writing on behalf of the American Physical Society's Forum on Graduate Student Affairs to announce the Third Canada-America-Mexico (CAM) Physics Graduate Student Conference August 8-11, 2007 at McGill University, in Montreal, Canada The CAM2007 Conference, jointly sponsored by the American Physical Society, Canadian Association of Physicists, and Sociedad Mexicana de Fisica, provides graduate students in physics and related fields an opportunity to attend a unique conference planned by and for them, to introduce them to recent findings in the various subfields of physics, and to address concerns particular to physicists in the early stages of their careers. In addition, CAM2007 aims to promote international collaboration among the North American countries and to develop an appreciation of the diverse experiences of graduate students from across North America. Through special topical and technical sessions, students will have the opportunity to gain a broader view of physics beyond their own classrooms and research laboratories. The early registration period for this conference is currently underway. Further information, along with an advertising poster that can be printed and posted throughout your department, is available from the Conference website at: http://cam2007.triumf.ca We would appreciate it if you would pass this information on to all of your graduate students in physics, astronomy, and related fields. Thank you, Kyler Kuehn International Student Affairs Officer for the APS Forum on Graduate Student Affairs and Chair, US Organizing Committee Canada-America-Mexico (CAM) 2007 Graduate Student Conference http://cam2007.triumf.ca
