The Fellowship provides a 12-month stipend (30k) as well as health insurance. The stipend starts July 1, 2007. IGERT Fellows can reapply in April of 2008 for one additional year of support. SBU Ph.D. students interested in problems at the interface of life science and environmental science may apply for these fellowships. The Application deadline is May 1. Eligibility: Only US Citizens or US Permanent Residents are eligible to receive NSF IGERT Fellowship. Applicants must be admitted to a Ph.D. track within one of the following SBU Graduate Programs: Physics, Chemistry, Geosciences, Marine Sciences, Molecular and Cellular Pharmacology, Molecular and Cellular Biology. Applicants must be in good academic standing. A minimum of one full semester at SBU must have been completed as a matriculated graduate student to be eligible.
