Subject: Preliminary Schedule - Physics and Math Building Roof Replacement Project

Dear Faculty and Staff,

Enclosed please find an attachment for the  "preliminary" schedule to
replace the roof over the Physics Building and Math Tower.

(See attached file: Math and Physics Building Roofing 6-07.doc)

   As shown in the attachment, the roof replacement project for the Math
   Tower and Math/Physics Bridge Connector will start early June and be
   completed in early July.

   The roof replacement project for the Physics Building is scheduled to
   start in mid June and should be completed by end July.

   Roof drain replacement for all three areas is scheduled for the
   beginning of August and should be completed late August.

Because the air intake ducts for the Physics Building are located on the
roof, we will most likely notice a tar odor (according to wind direction)
in the building during the month of July.   Our only option to reduce the
roofing tar odor would be to shut-down the A/C system air supply and return
fans.  Unfortunately, during July, this would not be a viable option.
