Please advise your students and faculty accordingly. NEW STUDENTS: New students must register full-time during their first semester on campus. This means that Summer admits must register for at least six credits for the Summer Session to which they were admitted . They do not need to register for Summer Session II if they have registered for Summer Session I. Remember: If the student wasn't admitted for the Summer this is not an issue (nor should they assume they can register for the Summer). CONTINUING STUDENTS: Continuing students who have a GA or RA during the Summer are strongly encouraged to register for the summer. If there are no appropriate courses available, students may register for 0 credits of XXX 800 (XXX = program designator). We advise this for reasons related to tracking federal grants, tax issues and Homeland Security. This is not a requirement. GRADUATING STUDENTS: Students need to be registered for the semester they plan to graduate. The Graduate School allows students graduating during the Summer to register for 0 credits.
