This information is posted on the Graduate School website under Graduation Information - Information and FAQs - Thesis/Dissertation Information. This information is also sent to students in an e-mail after their application for graduation is processed. ********************************************************************************************************************************************* Deadline to submit theses/dissertations to the Graduate School for August 2007 graduation: Friday, August 17th. No extensions will be granted. Please note that students are required to defend prior to this date and also submit the final version of their thesis/dissertation by the close of business on this date in order to be considered for August 2007 graduation. We strongly encourage that students defend and submit their theses/dissertations as early as possible during their final semester. Please also note that effective Fall 2006, doctoral students are required to submit their dissertation within three months of their successful defense. Effective immediately, the following Thesis/Dissertation submission hours will be in effect: Submission/Service Hours Through Friday, August 17th: 10-12 and 2-4, Monday through Friday or by appointment Service hours regarding questions about theses/dissertations or graduation are also during these posted hours. Students are guaranteed service during the posted hours. Any changes to these hours will be posted to the Graduate School website (Graduation Information - Information and FAQs - Thesis/Dissertation Information) and sent to programs and degree candidates via e-mail. Appointments An appointment is not needed if a student submits during these hours. If a student is unable to submit during these hours, they must make an appointment for an alternate time . Appointments must be made at least one day in advance, and requests for appointments must be made via e-mail by contacting Graduate_School_Graduation@notes.cc.sunysb.edu.
